Flash flooding over the weekend has affected many states in the Northeast including areas like Boston, Massachusetts. Heavy rain will continue to affect states in the Northeast this week.

North – Heavy flooding has affected parts of the Northeast over the weekend and will continue from Pennsylvania to New York and from Maryland to New Jersey. Expect rain through Tuesday from Maryland to Maine. Rainfall will be the heaviest in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York. Avoid driving through flood waters, flash flooding is causing roadways to close many streets and highways along the Northeast coast. Cars were submerged in some areas on the Pennsylvania and New Jersey such as Sonestown, Pennsylvania and Scotch Plains, New Jersey. The New York and New Jersey transit line were also affected with severe flooding which will affect travel.  

Midwest – Heavy thunderstorms with flash flooding will affect from Wisconsin to Oklahoma across the Ohio Valley and Mississippi Valley area from today until Wednesday.

West – The Holy fire in Orange County, California is only 52 percent contained as of Sunday. Firefighters are fighting endlessly to contain the blaze as over 11,000 people were forced to evacuate the area.

South – Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected in the South of Alabama throughout this week. Showers are likely for central Florida this week from Tuesday to Thursday. Flash flooding in South Texas swept 27 people into the Neuces River. Rescues were prompted and no major injuries were reported. 10 to 11 inches of rain made the Neuces River rise 14 feet, but flood waters are receding gradually. Proceed with caution when travelling around the area. This closed Highway 55 for a short time between Uvalde and Camp Wood.
