A fourth nor’easter for this month is expected for the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and New England areas. Beware of coastal flooding and snow. This is the 4th nor’easter this month in less than 3 weeks. The intense storms caused a pile up of snow in New York City and Boston.

North – There will be more snow along the I-95 corridor, which will likely cause travel delays. The nor’easter will begin on Tuesday with snow and rain for West Virginia and Ohio and from Virginia to Pennsylvania. On Wednesday, more snow will travel from New Jersey to Massachusetts. On Thursday, light snow will blanket states from Virginia to Maine. The snowfall is unpredictable and likely to change. Heavy winds are likely to cause power outages. Coastal flooding and beach erosion are likely from Delaware to Maine.

Midwest – From Tuesday to Thursday, snow will  fall from Indiana to Ohio. Expect cold temperatures mid-week along with heavy winds.

West – Rain is finally forecast for California, which will bring much needed relief to the dry spell that they have been experiencing. 4 to 8 inches of snow is likely Tuesday to Thursday for Santa Barbara and Ventura counties – the burn areas. More inches of rainfall will be in the Saint Lucia Mountains. Oregon is expected to have snow, with as much as 5 inches in the Portland area.

South – Severe storms Monday to Tuesday from Tennessee to Florida. Damaging winds, thunderstorm and isolated tornadoes are all possible. Yesterday, areas of Texas had hail as big as a baseball. High winds, tornadoes and damaging hail will threaten southern states and may cause delays in auto transportation.
