Later today, the Nor’easter is heading towards Connecticut with a high wind advisory. The impact the Nor’easter can cause is downed trees and power lines, and difficult conditions for driving. A coastal flood advisory will be in effect today from Connecticut to New York. A mixture of snow and rain is also possible during the storm. The Nor’easter will travel up the Northern States from Maine to New Jersey this week, bringing severe winds.

South

A deadly tornado outbreak in the South has killed at least 20 people. State of emergencies were declared in the state of Georgia and Mississippi. Tornadoes from Texas to Florida have occurred. South Carolina was also affected by tornadoes where hundreds of trees fell and damaged property. Many major roads throughout this street are blocked due to debris. Expect transportation delays.

West

Winter Storm Leo spreads snow to the Midwest and Rockies dumping rain and snow from California to Montana. High winds and flooding will continue in California, and flood evacuations were ordered in Southern California. Mud and rock slides were also reported on Sunday in the state, causing trees to fall and vehicles to become trapped. States across the West getting snow this week are from California to Washington and Utah to Montana.

Midwest

Snow from storm Leo brings snow from North Dakota to Illinois. Heavy snow, along with a mixture of ice and rain is expected for the Midwest. States will receive anywhere from 1-12 inches of snow throughout the week. Heavy snow is likely from South Dakota to Wyoming and Minnesota to Wisconsin. Snow should be heavier starting in the beginning of the week, and will subside by the end of the week.
