North – The month of October has been increasingly cold with snowstorms for the Northeast. From Maine to Connecticut, the Northeast has already ended up with an early start to winter. Northern New York last week had about 4.5 inches of snow, and Vermont had 9 inches of snow. Weather is continuing to drop for the northeast, and snow is likely to be in the forecast soon.

South – Since November is the final month for Hurricane season, the chances of tropical storms forming are much less significant. The Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean areas are becoming much quieter, cooler water temperatures, and have less wind. From states North Carolina to Florida, the water temperatures have dropped, making weather safer as of now.

Midwest – Record warm temperatures in the Midwest will start from Halloween into the start of November. North Dakota to Illinois can expect average temperatures of 50 degrees. This is a much warmer temperature for the start of November than usual near the Rockies. Temperatures will go 10 to 25 degrees higher than usual for November from the Midwest to the South.

West – A large fire breaks out in Oakland, California today in the Lake Merritt district. 150 people were forced to evacuate a high rise building under construction. The building eventually collapsed, and the smoke from the fire could be seen for miles. Currently, smoke can still affect a driver’s sight in this area, so proceed with caution when transporting any vehicles.
