North – Hurricane Florence is travelling North from North Carolina to New Hampshire for Tuesday. North Carolina to Virginia will have flooding on Monday and Virginia to New York will have have the greatest risk of floods on Tuesday. Expect additional rain through Tuesday with potentials for flooding, including river flooding.

South – After Hurricane Florence hit, areas of North Carolina had severe flooding. Wilmington had about 30 inches of rain and South Carolina had about 18 inches of rain. An area close to Elizabethtown had over 35 inches of rain. South Carolina to North Carolina broke tropical cyclone rain records in over a year. The severe flooding forced emergency evacuations and there are currently rescues underway. Many homes and buildings were destroyed as well as loss of power and fallen trees. In North Carolina, there is currently a dam failure, forcing people in the area to leave their homes.

Midwest – From Michigan to Illinois, expect scattered showers throughout this week from Hurricane Florence with chances of sunshine in between. Ohio will also have some rain from Hurricane Florence, which will create cooler temperatures especially for today.

West – Weather for the Southern part of California this week will be beautiful and sunny this week with weather averaging in the low 80’s. From Tuesday to Thursday, it will be partially cloudy but still warm.
