On Monday across the Northeast winter storm Ursula hit bringing fast-moving winds. This clipper storm is continuing on from the weekend which first brought thunderstorms, rain and small hail.

Clipper storms bring very frigid weather with strong winds and snow, from the midwest to the Northeast. Areas like New Jersey and Pennsylvania were affected. Expect travel delays from New York to Boston. Road conditions will improve after Monday.

Over the weekend, across the midwest, heavy snow swept through areas like Chicago, Illinois. The Great Lakes also had their fair share of Spring snow. This caused temperatures to plummet and with freezing rain and icy road conditions.

In the West, at Pasha Automotive Services in National City(California), car imports have been stuck and delayed for days. There isn’t enough berthing space to allow any ships to dock, so cargo shipment has been on hold. In turn, this stimulates the economy because people are buying more cars. Some ships are stuck up to 2.5 miles, anchored off the shore. Meanwhile,Car carriers are waiting to dock at Port of San Diego

In the South, over 26” of rain was recorded over the weekend in areas like Louisiana. Record flooding hit the Sabine River located from Texas to Louisiana Border. Transportation conditions will be limited at this time.
