North – A severe storm is possible to develop this week in the Midwest and Northeast. Severe wind and possible tornadoes are likely from Virginia to Maine for today and from Virginia to New York on Tuesday.

South – A low pressure Storm is developing in the Gulf of Mexico which the National Hurricane Center is monitoring. It has the potential over the next 5 days to develop into a tropical or subtropical storm. The storm will effect from Florida to South Carolina. Florida can expect anywhere from 3 to 7 inches of rain through Friday. States also affected by rain through Friday are from Tennessee to North Carolina. Severe thunderstorms and tornadoes are possible for Texas on Tuesday.

Midwest – From North Dakota to Ohio and Kansas to Michigan, there is a severe weather forecast for today. The severe storm threat will remain minimal throughout the month of May. Expect large hail, wind gusts and even the potential for tornadoes to develop.

West – All of the states in the West can expect severe thunderstorms this week from New Mexico to Washington and from Kansas to Montana. Hawaii’s Kilauea erupted, and so far 37 structures were destroyed. Two new fissures opened over the weekend on Big Island and fumes forced the residents to evacuate. About 2,000 people have evacuated so far from the Island, listen to calls for evacuations if you are currently there.
