North – Winter storm Bruce will affect the Northeastern states today from Pennsylvania to Maine bringing blizzard conditions. This will create dangerous travel conditions, with heavy rain along the I-95 corridor, which can create flash flooding. Heavy snow and winds will create difficult visibility on the roads.

Midwest – Blizzard conditions will also affect from the Plains to the Midwest, especially along the Great Lakes. After Winter Storm Bruce is over, lake effect snow will still continue. This will affect the morning commutes for today from Illinois to Michigan and parts of Wisconsin.

South – Florida will see cooler temperatures for this week. In Southern Florida for the next few days, temperatures will drop to the 50s. Southern Florida this morning was also under a dense fog warning until 9 AM, which created visibility of less than a quarter of a mile. Inland fog in Florida can develop into tomorrow.

West – From late Monday to Tuesday, there will be a wintry mix from Washington to Idaho with possible ice. There will also be rain and localized flooding from Northern California to Washington. From Wednesday to Thursday night, all of California will receive rain. This will bring relief to the wildfires, but will also create major problems including mudslides, flash flooding and travel disruptions.
