Spring is not here just yet! Over the weekend, winter storm Regis hit the Northeast with about 3 – 4 inches of snow. Temperatures before were warming up prior to the snow, but the weather had changed back quickly. Areas in the Northeast like Connecticut, eastern Massachusetts, new Hampshire and eastern Maine. Additional snow is forecast through Monday afternoon  with a potential for 6 inches of snow. Transportation may be slick on I-95, so travel will be mildly impacted.

 

Midwest

A dramatic temperature change is announced for the central US this week. From the warm weather they’ve been having all week, the temperatures took a quick turn to expecting a late-spring blizzard. Areas like Denver, Colorado will have high temperatures in the 70s and turn to snow and temperatures in the high 30s towards the middle of the week.

South

Severe storms are continuing in the South from Texas to Alabama. Strong winds, hail, and thunderstorms are expected, along with the potential for tornadoes. Floodwaters are continuing to rise in Texas, and residents are fleeing the area. Interstate 10 from Texas to Louisiana remained closed due to the Sabine River flooding over the highway.

 

West

In the west, states like California should be mostly sunny this week with an average of 70 degrees. Transportation conditions will be perfect. In Washington, showers are expected for the week. Transportation conditions look good in the west for this week.
