North – The Northeastern states from Virginia to Maine will experience a break from the weather this weekend with lows in the 50s and 60s and highs in the 60s and 70s. These states will also experience on and off rain and thunderstorms, which will cause flooding in certain areas especially along the coastline.

South – From Texas to Oklahoma, severe storms today will cause damaging thunderstorms, winds and hail. Although the hail will damage any crops in farmlands, the rain will contribute to the severe drought that Texas and Oklahoma are facing. From Tuesday to Friday expect severe heat and poor air quality from Georgia to New Mexico.

Midwest – From Montana to Indiana, there will be severe thunderstorms with rain and possible tornadoes, which will affect travel.

West – Over the weekend, three wildfires have quickly spread From New Mexico to Colorado.  Serious dry conditions have provided fuel for the fires. In New Mexico, there were hundreds of homes that were threatened by the flames, and 14 buildings are currently destroyed and forcing evacuations. For California, a wild fire ignited in Laguna Beach. In Colorado, the ‘416 Fire’ evacuated over 800 homes and burned part of the San Juan National Forest.  The fire is quickly spreading and affected travel for Highway 550 corridor.
