North

Hurricane Matthew is not expected to reach the Northeast, as it lost its hurricane status after hitting North Carolina. Winds have died down and it weakened to a post-tropical cyclone. States from Virginia to New York may have rain, wind and some flooding.

South

Hurricane Matthew left Haiti devastated over the weekend, with more than 900 people dead. Logistics has been affected in Florida with flooding, major highways and road closures. More than 500,000 people fled the coast of Georgia to seek refuge at shelters. A tornado threat is currently issued from Georgia to North Carolina. Currently, Hurricane Matthew is passing through from South Carolina to North Carolina, and is also affecting logistics from these areas with Direct Connect Auto Transport. Please be aware that we may not be able to have communication with some of our customers during this time. As Hurricane Matthew is losing its Hurricane status passing through North Carolina, the state has still been hit hard with flood water.

West

As for the west coast, Northern California has already seen its first signs of winter with a storm of heavy rain, hail and snow. The roads in the North may still be unsafe conditions to drive one due to the snow. Be cautious when transporting your vehicle through this area.
