We are expecting a storm surge that will effect our office with power outages/ loss of technology services and being able to reach our customers. Depending on the storms impact, some highways have been blocked, making delays for transporting vehicles.

As Hurricane Matthew is expecting to hit Florida tonight, Florida Governor Rick Scott is urging people to evacuate immediately. This life-threatening storm can hit South Florida with winds of 145 mph, and cause damaging winds and flooding. Evacuations were called in other states along the Atlantic coast such as Georgia and South Carolina. The category 4 winds of 145 mph could have a potential to reach a category 5 strength. Even if the hurricane misses Florida with a direct hit, it will still cause historic damage.

Governor Rick Scott also stated in his plea to the people of Florida, “Do not surf. Do not go on the beach. This will kill you. There is no reason not to leave.”
