West

Wildfires were a cause of concern for California this past week. On Sunday firefighters battled a fire that threatened at least 300 homes near San Bernardino. The flames quickly spread across 10 acres before firefighters were able to contain the fire. Last week, a deadly fire spread across a 75 mile stretch near Lake Isabella. The fire is now 90 percent under control, but firefighters are fighting the new fire from this week. Keep caution when transporting cars through the area.

South

Tropical storm Colin hit Florida near the Gulf Coast yesterday evening. Warnings for the Atlantic coast of Florida and parts of the Gulf Coast were issued. Winds as high as 50 mph since Monday night were reported, along with heavy rain. Heavy rain is still threatening Florida with likely 3 to 5 inches, along with chances of flooding for this week. Due to high winds, trees and and broken branches pose a threat to anyone transporting their car through the area.
