North –  Hurricane Michael is quickly moving from North Carolina to Virginia and will move on out to sea off of the East coast by Friday afternoon.

South – There are hundreds of thousands left without power in Florida, Alabama and Georgia.  900,000 residents in the area are now in the dark without power. This category 4 hurricane was the strongest hurricane to hit the Florida panhandle with 150 mph winds destroying many houses, boats and cars. Trees fell over causing major destruction to roadways and power lines. There was also devastation and power failures from South Carolina to North Carolina. If you are in the Florida to North Carolina area, expect delays in transportation.

West –  As for the west coast,  Tropical storm Sergio will make landfall in Baja California on Friday morning. From Friday to Sunday from Southern California to New Mexico, expect heavy rain and potential flood threats.

Midwest –  There will also be flash flood threats for the Midwest states this week on Tuesday from Iowa to Minnesota. Flash floods will begin all of the way from Texas to Wisconsin.

With all of the flooding and storms going on this week in the U.S., be aware that there may be delays with auto transportation. From flash flooding to areas with power outages or downed trees, transportation can take longer than expected in certain areas of the country.
