Brammo Motorsports is an electric motorcycle maker that has made an interim move while it awaits completion of its new production facility. Brammo’s owner has signed a three-year lease to occupy an 18,000-square-foot building. The company is gearing up to begin production on its Enertia electric motorcycle and cannot wait for their new 40,000-square-foot plant to be finished.

They hope to be operational by March 1. Brammo is going into production so they could start motorcycle shipping by May and needed more of a facility than they had. The company has doubled its workforce to 28 and will increase to 50 as soon as they get ready to begin assembly. The first bikes will cost approximately $15,000 with subsequent versions ticketed for $12,000.

Once the production building is completed, the interim site will most likely become an administrative office. The Enertia is the result of modern technology and smart engineers. It benefits from an ultra light, ultra stiff carbon fiber monocoque chassis that doubles as the motorcycle’s battery “carriage” and a simple electric drivetrain that keeps maintenance at a minimum.
