Thunderstorms are expected to hit the Northeastern states towards the end of the week. Virginia to New York will be hit hard from these storms beginning the end of the week until Sunday. Serious flooding is expected in New York with potentially more than 6 inches. Massachusetts to Vermont are expected heavy rain as well, that will compensate for the drought they have been having over the summer.

East

Tropical Storm Gaston is approaching the East Coast, forming in the Atlantic Ocean. By this Wednesday, the storm is expected to become more powerful. The storm has a high chance of becoming a hurricane by Wednesday and is likely to hit Florida first. The storm will travel up the East Coast from Florida to North Carolina, where I-95 will be affected. Proceed with caution when travelling on this highway.

West

Flood warnings for North Eastern Nevada are continuing from over the weekend. In California, wildfires are threatening Hearst Castle, the iconic landmark. Wildfires are continuing throughout the west coast, even affecting Washington. Multiple fires due to dry heat in the state, had led to evacuations from homes, burning more than 35,000 acres of land.
