Winter Storm Kalani will bring light snow to the Northeast, Mi-Atlantic and Midwest states from today until Tuesday.

North – For the Northeast, there is a potential for two snow storms this week. The first snow will target Southeastern New England. This light snowstorm will go from Monday into Tuesday. Another snowstorm in the Northeast may bring light snow from Massachusetts to New Hampshire and the mid-Atlantic region from New York to Virginia. Although you can expect light snow, this may be worse for driving than a heavier snowstorm. Coastal flooding may also be possible. Expect slippery conditions in Boston and Providence.

South – Expect rain on Tuesday from Louisiana to Tennessee. In Texas, the winter weather will return today as temperatures will be in the 60’s this afternoon, and drop at night with a light freeze. This may make driving conditions worse, as the rain will cause major roads and highways to freeze.

West – In California, persistent dry weather and record warm conditions are elevating the fire danger for Southern California. From Montana to New Mexico and from Nevada to Colorado, we will see temperatures for today 10 to 15 degrees above average. If you are in these areas, proceed with caution when driving your vehicle or transporting your car.

Midwest – The Midwest will also experience waves of snowstorms from the Great Lakes to the Ohio valley. On Monday night expect snow from Ohio to Michigan. On Tuesday a light snowfall will remain in Michigan towards the Great Lakes. From Indiana to Ohio and from Mississippi to Georgia, expect a mix of snow, ice and rain – which will make driving conditions dangerous.
