North – Tropical Storm Chris will turn into a hurricane off the coast of North Carolina to Maine. This will cause dangerous weather, rip currents and several days of high surf. Chris can become a Hurricane in North Carolina as early as today will be in the state from today until Tuesday. From Wednesday to Thursday it will travel in New Jersey and New York and from Connecticut to Maine. The conditions off the coastline of North Carolina are very dangerous and resulted in one death. The Northeastern states will also be hot and humid but not as hot as the July 4th heat wave last week.

South – For the Southern states, Florida will be partly cloudy today and will have precipitation and thunderstorms from Tuesday until next Monday. Florida is having a minor impact this week from Tropical Storm Chris and Beryl. The storms will not pose a direct threat to Florida.

Midwest – Weather in Ohio will be hotter this week, especially for today which will be in the upper 80s. Michigan to Illinois will also have hot and humid weather for this week.

West – Severe thunderstorms from Arizona to California will bring dust storms, flash flooding and damaging winds. The winds will be the worst in Arizona this afternoon and at night. In Arizona, roads may be closed, especially along Interstate 10 which was closed from a dust storm Sunday night.
