North – Cold weather for the first week of May left many residents in the North puzzled. Heavy rain will continue throughout this week from Maryland to Maine. Along I-95 from Philadelphia to Boston, are likely to see severe storms with hail and heavy, damaging winds.

West –  In Southern California, Winter weather has made its return. Lightning, hail and snow hit on Sunday and will continue today. Residents are told to stay indoors due to the dangerous conditions outside.

Midwest – The Midwest can expect heavy rain for this week from Wednesday to Friday. From Minnesota to Ohio, you can expect 1-2 inches of rain on Friday. Flooding issues are a possibility, so prepare for delays in travel.

South – Wildfires are threatening land from Florida to Georgia. According to Weather.com, “Florida is in the middle of it’s worst wildfire season in years with no end in sight.” Just this year, there have been over 2,000 wildfires in Florida. In Georgia, the wildfire in West Mims destroyed 11,000 acres of land in two days and damaged 200 square miles at the Okefenokee National Wildfire Refuge. There are now evacuations near the Florida-Georgia line, as the fire is only partially contained. From Texas to Oklahoma, there will be a severe threat for thunderstorms, hail, high winds and possible tornadoes.
