North – Late in the week, the East coast and states in the Northeast will have a snow mixture, with rain and high winds. If the weather is cold enough, this can result in a severe coastal storm with coastal flooding. From Pennsylvania to Maine, expect a mixture of snow.

South – Rain is forecast this week for Southern states from Texas to South Carolina. From Tuesday to Thursday, moderate to heavy rain will be expected from Texas to Mississippi and Tennessee. The lower Mississippi valley and Tennessee valley will greatly be affected by the rain and flooding. These areas may see up to 11 inches of rain. Other areas of the South can see up to 5 inches of rain.

Midwest – Expect flooding in the Ohio River Valley and Great Lakes area. From Kentucky to Ohio, the Ohio River will reach its highest level since 20 years. Snow is expected Wednesday to Thursday night from Minnesota to Illinois and from Michigan to Indiana.
West – The Western states from California to Washington and Idaho to Colorado will see snowfall through Wednesday of the week. Most states will see 1 to 3 inches of snow, but from Washington, Oregon and California may see 5 to 12 inches in some areas, especially in the Sierra and Northern Rockies.
