The photo above is the recent Winter Storm Mateo that hit the Midwestern states. This is a view of Chicago over the weekend with a blanket of 10 inches of snow.

North – From Thursday until Friday, we will see a wintry mix from North Carolina to Maine. Heavy rain will continue from New York to Massachusetts. Flooding is possible for New York City. For Vermont and New Hampshire, expect rain from Thursday to Friday.

SouthFlorida is experiencing record warm temperatures in the mid 80’s the past couple of days. States above Florida, from Texas to Georgia will be experiencing rain and cooler temperatures until in the beginning of the week. Temperatures will rise again mid week – expect sunny, warm weather which is perfect for vehicle transportation.

Midwest – Winter Storm Mateo affected from Montana to Illinois. The heaviest snowfall in Montana was 30 inches of snow. In Illinois, the Chicago O’Hare airport had 7.8 inches of snow delaying many flights. Current transportation in the Midwest may be delayed.
West – Expect rain and snow in the Sierras, Southwest and Southern Rockies. From areas in California to Utah and Colorado, you will see two weather systems through Thursday consisting of a wintry mix. You will also see a wintry mix from Washington to Montana through Thursday. The cool, damp conditions that will be in the Southern area of California will help to provide a bit of relief for the wildfires.
