A state of emergency is declared from Mississippi to Alabama from severe flooding and winds due to Tropical Storm Gordon passing through.

North – The Northeast will experience another heatwave for this week from Virginia to Maine. Record setting temperatures are causing people to stay inside with the A/C during the dangerous heat conditions.

South – A state of emergency is declared in the Southern states from Mississippi to Louisiana. The National Hurricane center just issued a hurricane warning from the border of Alabama and Florida to the mouth of the Pearl River in Mississippi. Tropical storm Gordon is now a category 1 hurricane making its way towards the Gulf Coast. Those in the area can expect heavy winds, and heavy rain with storm surge flooding. Texas is currently experiencing flooding from another storm system, with flood waters leaving major roads underwater.

Midwest – Flash flooding will be a concern this week in the Midwest through Wednesday. From Wisconsin to Minnesota, certain areas have had more than 9 inches of rain. Flooding concerns in the Midwest will continue until Wednesday. Parts of Kansas to Nebraska will have heavy rain with up to 5 inches in certain areas.

West – As for the West coast, weather in California this week will be sunny and beautiful. In Hawaii, Tropical Storm Norman is affecting waves in Hawaii until Friday night. Norman will cause high winds and high surf – making dangerous conditions for swimming, boating and even driving.
