The photo above shows the projected path of Category 4 Hurricane Florence that will have a direct impact from Georgia to Virginia.

North – From Virginia to Maine, expect heavy rainfall from Wednesday to Monday. A major concern later this week will be inland flooding threats from Hurricane Florence. The coastlines will also experience major flash flooding and heavy waves.

South – Category 4 Hurricane Florence is making its way towards North Carolina with 130 mph winds. Hurricane Florence will affect from West Virginia to Georgia. The Carolina’s and Virginia’s are at the greatest risk for impact and major destruction from Hurricane Florence. A storm surge with tropical storm force winds will also accompany the hurricane on Wednesday from Florida to Rhode Island causing heavy waves, flooding, downed trees and possible power outages.  Expect rainfall from Wednesday into next Monday for the East coast.

Midwest – Midwestern states will have a severe weather threat with potential flooding throughout the week from Kansas to Wisconsin. Gulf showers will linger through the rest of the week, especially from Wednesday to Thursday.

West – Hurricane Olivia will take aim for Hawaii this week with heavy rain and winds. It may hit parts of Hawaii and Maui counties as early as Tuesday of this week. A tropical storm watch is in affect and is expected to produce 10 to 15 inches of rain with winds extending up to 115 mph. If you are traveling near this area, be aware of potential evacuations.
