North – For the Northern states, expect to see warm temperatures throughout the week. From New York to New Hampshire, you can see temperatures from high 60s to low 80s. Virginia had major flooding from Friday morning, which shut down Richmond International Airport for over 2 hours. Several major highways (such as Interstate 64) were covered in floodwaters, prompting road closures. Transportation may be backed up today, as roads still may be closed. Flights may also be delayed for today.

South – From Texas to Mississippi, expect severe heat for this week. A tropical disturbance has affected Texas that resulted in Eastern Texas to have massive amounts of rain and coastal flooding.

Midwest – Expect severe storms early this week with heavy rain, possible flash flooding and tornadoes from Missouri to Wisconsin. These severe thunderstorms will affect the Midwest, Plains and the South in the beginning of this week with damaging winds and large hail. The threat will be especially prevalent on Tuesday of this week. Proceed with caution when traveling through this area.

West – Evacuations were forced in Lake County, California as a wind-driven wildfire destroyed 7,700 acres of land on Sunday. The fire continues to threaten surrounding homes. As for Tropical Storm Daniel that formed in the Eastern Pacific – it is not expected to hit land.
