North – Weather from New York to Connecticut will be partly cloudy for most of the week with highs in the 70s and 80s. Expect scattered rain showers on Wednesday. This week is still a good time to transport your car, as weather conditions will not be severe. Massachusetts will have scattered showers on Wednesday, but will have sunny weather from Thursday – Saturday. This is also a great opportunity to transport your car as weather will be mild.

South – In Texas, the weather is currently hot and dry. There is a potential next week for a tropical storm to reach Houston/Galveston along the coast of Texas. A warning is issued in Galveston for the life-threatening rip currents and people are discouraged from swimming.

Midwest – For Monday night, expect heavy thunderstorms east of the Mississippi River from Illinois to West Virginia. Additional rainfall may cause flash flooding, which will bring heavy rainfall to the Interstate 64 corridor. With heavy downpours, the roadways are threatened and can quickly become submerged. Proceed with caution when traveling through this area.
West – The 416 wildfire in Colorado from Sunday is spreading and prompting evacuations. Nearly 2,000 homes were evacuated, and the number is only continuing to rise. The fire is 10 miles from Durango and is 10 percent contained. The fire is predicted to get worse and already consumed 26 square miles of land. Thousands of people already evacuated their homes. At UTE Park in New Mexico, there were 14 buildings that were destroyed from the fire and residents are at the moment listening for further evacuations. From Colorado to California, the dry conditions and severe drought are the setting stones for dramatic wildfires. California will be affected by another weather event this week in Cabo San Lucas. Hurricane Bud is expected to approach Baja California at the end of this week as a tropical storm; bringing heavy winds and rain, rip currents and high surf. In less than a week, this is the second hurricane that developed in the Eastern Pacific Ocean.
