North – In the Northern states from Virginia to Pennsylvania, you can expect isolated showers in the beginning of the week. From New Jersey to Maine, you can expect mild to warm weather midweek with cooler weather near the coast.

Midwest – The severe storms from the South this week will travel up North on Wednesday towards Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Missouri. Hail, thunderstorms, heavy winds and even tornadoes are all possible. 

West – A Volcano in Hawaii recently erupted in Kilauea and has spread to an area of around 387,500 square feet. The area has been evacuated and there is no indication to when the lava flow will stop. Over 1,700 people were evacuated as lava continues to spew 200 feet into the air. Many homeowners are still waiting to hear news about their homes, and so far 26 homes were destroyed.


South –  A rare 4.5 magnitude earthquake struck in the Gulf of Mexico near New Orleans. The Earthquake struck off the coast of Louisiana and was about 160 miles Southeast of New Orleans. More severe weather will be expected this week from Kansas to Missouri, with thunderstorms, rain, hail, damaging wind and possible tornadoes.
