North – In the Northern states, snowfall from Nor’easter Skylar Monday night into Wednesday will affect traffic and road conditions for New England once again. For the eastern coast of Massachusetts to Maine, over a foot of snow is possible. Blizzard conditions are likely, especially for Tuesday. 8 to 12 inches of snow is likely from Vermont to New Hampshire. Coastal Flooding is possible for the Massachusetts and Maine coastline, which may result in power outages, high winds, and tree damage. This is the 3rd Nor’easter to hit the East Coast in just less than 2 weeks time. For Bar Harbor and Bangor Maine, you can see anywhere from 12 to 18 inches of snow.

South – Winter Storm Skylar will possibly deliver snow from North Carolina to Tennessee. Virginia and Kentucky may also see snow, with slick road conditions that may result in slower road travel.

Midwest – There will also be snowfall in parts of the Midwest. From Illinois to Iowa, some areas will have up to 5 inches of snow. Indiana will have anywhere from 2 to 5 inches of snow. This may cause flight delays, heavy traffic conditions and power outages in these areas.

West – Rain and snow is forecast from today until Wednesday from New Mexico to Washington. Conditions in Oregon will be very windy from Monday night into Tuesday. For the recent areas that had wildfires, be aware that there is a potential for mudslides this week. The rain this week will bring relief to the drought stricken areas, especially from California to New Mexico.
