North – The Northeastern states are expecting damaging, heavy wind gusts and thunderstorms from Maryland to Maine. The biggest threats are from Delaware to Pennsylvania, where tornadoes and flash floods are likely. Major travel delays are expected for the Northeastern states.

South – Tornadoes from South Carolina to North Carolina resulted in damage to buildings and damage affected main roads and airport travel. If you are traveling through this area, be aware of the conditions.

West – An unusually late heatwave will hit Southern California, and more wildfires are expected. Proceed with caution when transporting your vehicle through this area. Although the California wildfires last week are being contained, the heatwave this week will further the issue. As for the Rockies, snow is expected in the mountainous areas from Montana to Colorado for this week.

Midwest – Signs of winter may already be here this week for the Midwestern states. Cool gusts of wind from North Dakota to Illinois will experience wind from 50 to 55 mph. Temperatures are expected from today on to be 25 degrees lower than temperatures over the weekend in the Midwest. The cool air will bring lake-affect rain showers, and will also be cold enough conditions for potential snowfall.
