North

Tropical Depression Nine is forming off the coast of Florida is making its way along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. The National Hurricane Center is expecting the storm to hit the Gulf Coast on Thursday spreading from Florida to North Carolina. Heavy winds and high surf coastal flooding are to be expected. The Hurricane center is issuing advisories for potential evacuation in the states along the Gulf Coast.

 

South

Severe storms swept through Northern Alabama this past weekend causing power outages and damage to houses. Heavy rain is expected this week from Illinois to Oklahoma.

 

Midwest

Indiana is having severe storm warnings about a possible incoming tornado. Over the weekend, the National Weather Service had reported two tornadoes that touched down around central and Northern Indiana. The tornadoes were destructive in terms of damaging trees and knocking out power lines. Another tornado watch is in effect for Indiana today. Proceed with caution when travelling through this state.

 

West

In California, a massive wildfire in San Bernardino, California destroyed 93 homes and 213 other buildings. The 82,000 citizens  who evacuated from the area, are told that it is safe to return to the area. The fire burnt areas west of Interstate 15, where transportation may be slowed up on the Highway. Wildfires this season have been strengthened this summer due to the excessive dry heat from California to Washington.
