North – Northern states are expected to encounter continued heat waves and severe weather. A tornado in Hamburg, New York uprooted trees and left many without power.

South – Severe storms are threatening travel in the Southern states from Louisiana to South Carolina. The Northern part of Florida will also be affected. Thunderstorms and heavy winds will increase the risk of flash floods. Proceed with caution when travelling and do not attempt to travel through floods.

Midwest – The Midwest is also experiencing flooding as homes and cars are swept away by strong waters. A state of emergency was announced in Kentucky as dangerous floodwaters destroyed everything in its path. Flooding in Illinois has gotten more severe, as the state approached its second week of dealing with flood waters.

West – Wildfires in Montana are threatening wildlife and houses, burning 200,000 acres in Garfield County. Four wildfires combined into one large wildfire, making the outcome even more devastating. People are advised not to drive near this area, due to the large amounts of smoke.
