A lot more goes into moving your car from one place to the other than you may think. It’s true that on your end you may only see us during vehicle pick up or drop-off, and in some cases only at drop-off, but we work around the clock making sure your vehicle gets exactly where it needs to go.

The world is a big place and as a company that operates on an international level there are no small amount of pitfalls and nuances to be aware of. But without even taking the entire world into account just consider how large a place the United States is. Not only that but it is diverse and it is made of up numerous climatic regions and boasts a wide range of varying terrain.

This makes the United States a great place to live since it has something for everyone. But this same variety can make it a devil to move a car from one part of the country to the other. As a matter of fact we do a lot of work even before we get the go ahead from you to pick up your car. There’s a lot of Route planning, logistical work and tracking that goes into each order but we also concentrate on forecasts. The reason being is that nothing can throw off a car transportation order quite like the weather. Floods, severe snow or rain can really throw a wrench into the works of a car transportation shipment. That’s why we make sure to always look ahead and do our best to prepare. This is the reason we were so interested in getting our first look at the Winter forecast over at Weather.com.

Winter is always the most challenging season for car transportation and this one looks to be especially challenging because of El Nino. This year’s winter looks to be affected by what many are saying will be the strongest El Nino on record. But what is an El Nino? It’s a change in climate that happens in the Pacific ocean. This change, which is caused by the ocean warming up a few degrees, can really wreak havoc on our climate.

So what does an El Nino fueled winter have in store for us this year? Predictions are placing the south at cooler than average temps with the north pulling in higher temperatures. No way of saying for sure what the outcome of this will be but this could easily mean more snow in parts of the country, especially in the northeast. And as far as precipitation goes, they’re estimating that the south will be wetter than usual with parts of the north, specifically the Great Lakes area region part of the Pacific Northwest to be much drier than usual.

It’s hard to know for sure what’s going to happen this winter but it will likely be an eventful one and that’s why you should only ship your car with a company you can trust. For more on what to expect this winter you can check out Weather.com.
