North – A flood watch from New Jersey to New York is in affect as of today. Thunderstorms and showers are expected to form a flash flood in Long Island, N.Y.C. and New Jersey. A rainfall from 1 to 2 inches is expected for late tonight. Anyone travelling or transporting their car through this area should be aware of the conditions.

South – Tropical Storm Franklin made its way to Mexico Sunday night and is strengthening into a potential hurricane. Minor coastal flooding, rip currents and high winds may affect the Southern portion of Texas. You can also expect high pressure from this storm over Southern states from California to Florida, but Franklin will not directly affect the United states. But, a weather event that just yesterday affected the U.S. was an EF2 tornado. This tornado landed in Tulsa, Oklahoma and caused a lot of damage to buildings. 30 people were injured from the storm that ripped through midtown Tulsa.

West– A major heatwave in the west will persist, but aid is coming for the current drought in Montana. A chance of rain may bring some relief from areas suffering from the heatwave from North Dakota to Montana.

Midwest – Tornadoes and flooding are destroying parts of the Midwest like Kansas and Missouri.  Many were left without power, and many homes and businesses were destroyed.
