Car shows attract enthusiasts from all over the world attend car shows, eager to see collector cars and maybe even buy a car of their own. Many go just to see some of the finest four-wheel mechanical marvels to ever grace the roadways.

Florida is a haven for car show fans, thanks to great weather and thousands of classic car collectors who call the state home. After all, it’s home to one of the oldest car museums in the country, the Sarasota Classic Car Museum, which is on every classic car fan’s must-visit list.

Florida offers far more car shows than can be listed here. There’s one just about every weekend somewhere in the state, especially during “snowbird season.” However, the following are five of the most famous. Daytona Turkey Run

The Daytona Turkey Run bills itself as the largest combined car show and swap meet in the United States. The Florida event features more than 5,000 collector cars in a car show, a car corral with more than 1,500 cars for sale, a swap meet of collector car parts and memorabilia, and an arts and fashion area. The 49th annual Daytona Turkey Run is scheduled for Nov. 24-27 at the Daytona International Motor Speedway.

Amelia Concours d’elegance

If you enjoy more upscale car shows, the Amelia Concours d’elegance on Amelia Island is the show for you. Even if you don’t usually connect car shows to wine and h’orderves, this is the one that’s worth breaking out your fanciest clothes to visit. Car enthusiasts report seeing cars unlike any they have ever seen before of both classic and contemporary vintage. For example, the Best in Show winners from the 2022 event were a 1934 Duesenberg Model J Convertible Coupe and a 2017 Cadillac DPi-V.R. Keep an eye on the events page for the 2023 dates.

Slamfest Car and Truck Show

Held annually at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa, Fla., Slamfest focuses on low-rider cars and trucks, as well as other customized vehicles of every sort you can imagine. And there’s an old-fashioned bikini contest. The 31st annual Slamfest is scheduled for fall of 2022, you can look at the event’s Facebook page for the latest information.

SuperCar Week

More than 400 supercar owners, race teams, car clubs and supercar brands come together for this festival in South Florida that focuses on the “art of speed and design.” SuperCar Week offers events throughout the week around Palm Beach County, leading up to the SuperCar Week Sunday Grand Finale in downtown West Palm Beach. The 13th annual Supercar Week is scheduled for the second week of January 2023.

Miami International Auto Show

One of the oldest and biggest shows in Florida, the Miami International Auto Show includes classic and modern cars from the biggest car companies in the world. The 2021 show features everything from the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Official Show Car to vintage autos such as the 1948 Nash Ambassador.
