North

In the North, especially focusing on the Northeast, weather is expected to reach highs of 80 degree weather. The states that can expect this surging warmth are from North Carolina to Maine. Temperatures in Massachusetts along the coast will be 20 degrees cooler than surrounding areas. Expect transportation to go smoothly through these areas.

Central US

Severe storms in the Central U.S. are threatening severe thunderstorms and possibilities of tornadoes. The states at the greatest risk of damage will be from Texas to Kansas. Hail, thunderstorms, and strong winds are expected which may bring transportation to a halt. Parking your car under a cover will prevent vehicle damage from the hail storm.

SouthEast

Southeastern states are likely to have warm weather near the Atlantic Ocean from the end of May to early June. Memorial Day weekend should be kept a close eye on from Florida to Georgia. The waters are warm, and winds are at quick enough speeds to stir up a tropical storm. Downpours and thunderstorms are likely to occur, so keep caution in these areas as we approach Memorial Day weekend.

West

California weather has been very hot and dry Since the past 3 years. California  drought conditions were down 10 percent for the first time in 3 years. 90 percent of California is experiencing a drought, as opposed to 100 percent in 2014. This is mainly due to the El Nino that had occurred, that caused temperatures to rise and warm the Pacific Ocean, resulting in wetter conditions in California. This El Nino pattern can cause later arrival of La Nina in the second half of the year.
