Oklahoma is a US state located in the south central region of the United States. It’s known as the “Sooner State” and as of 2014, Oklahoma had an estimated population of 3,878,051. Major cities include Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Norman. The department of transportation is called The Ohio Department of Transportation or ODOT. The Oklahoma City National Memorial is a memorial in the United States that honors the victims, survivors, rescuers, and all who were affected by the Oklahoma City bombing on April 19, 1995. Many famous rivers pass through Oklahoma, with Oklahoma having none to call its own. Oklahoma City’s landmark bridge, Oklahoma City SkyDance Bridge, is a 380-foot-long pedestrian bridge and 197- foot-tall sculpture that spans Interstate 40 near Robinson Avenue south of downtown. The bridge’s soaring architecture was inspired by Oklahoma’s state bird, the scissor-tailed flycatcher.
