Severe storms will happen tonight from North Dakota to Minnesota and from Missouri to Wisconsin. High winds, large hail and tornadoes are likely. Flash flooding will also be a concern for these areas, so be careful when transporting your vehicles today. The storm will travel eastward into Monday night and transition northward into the Great Lakes.

 

 

West

Dangerous Southern California brush fires force thousands to evacuate from their homes. Nearly 700 homes were evacuated along with 800 acres of land destroyed by the flames. Along with California having fires, Colorado also had dangerous fires caused by two campers. The fire has already destroyed 1000 acres from Colorado to Wyoming, and is continuing to spread.

Lava flow in Kilauea, Hawaii destroys a forest and continues to flow towards the coastline. Temperatures throughout Hawaii will average about 70 degrees.

East

In the Eastern U.S. states, there will be a heatwave approaching 100 degrees or even higher. States from Pennsylvania to Florida will experience these high temperatures for the week, being about 10 degrees above normal temperatures. Massachusetts and Pennsylvania will have their highest temperatures this year, being in the mid 90’s.
