North – Cold will continue into this week in the Northeastern states midweek. In many cities, March will be colder than January and February weather, especially in New York. Although today is the first day of Spring, cold weather will continue – being 10 to 20 degrees below average.
 
South – A Severe weather warning is in effect for the South for Thursday in the Plains. Severe thunderstorms and tornadoes are expected from Nebraska to Texas. Severe winds and large hail will accompany these storms, which will move on Saturday from Louisiana to Georgia and from Arkansas to Kentucky.
 
Midwest – Cold temperatures in the Midwest will return, with Ohio hitting 30 degrees on Wednesday. A severe weather threat on Friday from South Dakota to Wisconsin. Aside from tornado threats, large hail and damaging winds will follow. Driving conditions may be affected throughout this area.
 
West –  A major Wildfire broke out near in the Sunshine Canyon of Colorado on Sunday morning, burning 62 acres of land. The fire is currently 50 percent contained, although 836 homes are evacuated. Transportation throughout this area may be delayed.
