North – Major blizzard warnings for this week are in effect on Tuesday. Winter Storm Stella is travelling from Michigan to Maine. States from Virginia to Maine will be hit with snow Tuesday morning. Massachusetts will have over a foot of snow from this storm. New York will also have blizzard warnings, with 12 – 18 inches of snow. Heavy winds are in affect along with snow, so be prepared for delays in transportation. Delays in flights for the Northeast are already happening, and in Washington D.C., paratransit services are suspended.

Midwest
– Winter storm Stella is hitting the Midwest today with heavy winds and and 1 to 3 inches of snow. From Ohio to Minnesota, you will see a few inches of snow from this storm in addition to the snow the Midwest had already received. 600 flights have been cancelled already at the Chicago O’Hare International Airport. A travel advisory was issued between March 13th and March 15th from the heavy snow. Expect transportation delays for this week.

West – Unusually warm weather is impacting California, and causing ice packs to melt. The 90 degree weather is causing alarm for flooding. The snow from the Sierra’s can melt too quickly and impact surrounding areas.

South – Snow from the Midwest from Winter Storm Stella will travel towards the Southern and Eastern states like Tennessee and West Virginia. A drought monitor from Texas to South Carolina is causing concern for possible El Nino conditions.
