North  – Record high heat for this week is coming to a halt, while cooler air is taking over. Cooler temperatures are moving Midwest to East from Indiana to Maine. New York will begin to say goodbye to summer temperatures as cooler weather and rain showers hit this week.

South – A severe flood threat from Texas to Massachusetts was announced today. Heavy rain today in Northern Florida may delay transportation. Severe storms towards the middle of the week in Florida are likely. Alabama had 8.5 inches of rain, which resulted in major flooding.

West – A rapid snow melt in Nevada for this week has the potential to cause danger to areas surrounding Sierra Nevada. Snow melt is impacted this week by the rise of very warm temperatures.  As we go further West, weather in Los Angeles, California should be sunny with and average of 70 degree temperatures.

Midwest – Tornadoes in the Midwest have been occurring more frequently. Tornadoes this week from Illinois to Oklahoma resulted in several injuries and left streets covered in debris. If you are travelling through these tornado prone areas, proceed with caution.
