It seems as if a day doesn’t go by where we don’t hear something about the latest breakthrough in car design or development. Advancements like electric cars, 3D printed cars and everything in-between. Today we came across this article on Discovery.com about the variety of features that several car makers are developing for use in future vehicles.

These are advancements that were unveiled/discussed at this year’s Paris Motor Show. The Discovery.com article, which you can read here, was mostly focused on the wide range of safety enhancements that were on display at the show.

One of the most interesting was a driver assistance system that would warn a driver that they were about to collide with a pedestrian. The system would first send out audio and visual warning signs before forcing the car the to automatically break if the warning were ignored. The technology behind this system is really quite impressive. And while this is one of the safety features discussed which could potentially save the most lives it will need significant ironing out in order to not accidentally cause more accidents than it prevents.

Only time will tell how and when these features make their way into everyday cars.
